Protecting Personal Data

As business intelligence usage grows, clever power-users will be working hard to exploit larger and larger amounts and sources of enterprise data. One recent news piece provided a glimpse into this potentially treacherous trend. Modern copier and all-in-one print/fax/scan/copy devices have the relatively high capacity storage devices (HDDs) installed. Many people access these systems for business and personal reasons. Is that data sensitive and should it be protected in some manner? You bet, and given the litigious nature of this country in the 21^st century, the astute corporate practitioner should take note.
